The program is specifically designed for patients who have no prescription drug coverage or who may need to purchase medicines that their current insurance coverage does not cover. Savings and discounted prices are available on over 400 generic prescription medications and cover a wide range of health and medical conditions. Some of the medicine categories in the plan include allergy, asthma, cholesterol, arthritis, diabetes, pain management, gastrointestinal, glaucoma, thyroid conditions, mental health, heart health, skin conditions and blood pressure medications. This is only a short list of the medicines that are included in the list of 400+ generics.

CVS Health Savings Pass and Prescription Plan Overview

The program is not health insurance. It is however, a discount prescription savings plan to help individuals and family’s save money on certain medicines that may not be covered otherwise. To benefit from the pass program, it is necessary to enroll and pay a one time annual fee. The enrollment fee was $15 per person per year, at the time of this post. Once you are an enrolled member of the program your reduced cost is $11.99 for a 90-day supply of each medication you purchase that is included in their list of 400+ generic medications.
